Join the first of three in-person workshops presented by McLean Hospital to support the MCOA’s commitment to creating welcoming and supportive spaces for Massachusetts older adults, particularly with regards to behavioral health.

This workshop series was created with the shared belief that when staff understand what’s going on for those they serve and inside themselves, they can better come up with interventions that are compassionate, generous, and effective.

This first workshop is foundational, providing ways to understand 7 common behavioral health issues, and then using that understanding to establish appropriate boundaries and deal with challenging behaviors. The workshops will be highly practical and will be relevant to a wide range of attendees, from front-desk staff to social service navigators to directors.
